Seeing is no longer believing. AI-generated "deepfakes"—hyper-realistic fake video and audio—are more accessible and powerful than ever. This technology is now a potent tool for harm, used to fuel political disinformation, commit financial fraud, create non-consensual intimate images (NCII), and harass individuals.
The core issue is a public preparedness gap. Most people lack the media literacy skills to question and verify what they see, reduce their personal risk, or respond if they're targeted. This uncertainty about their rights, correct UK reporting channels, and available support leaves individuals and communities vulnerable to deception and attack. |
We've created an interactive, 60-minute workshop session that gives people the tools to critically evaluate media, reduce their risk, and know exactly what to do if harmed. Designed with subject-matter experts, this workshop is impartial, practical, and packed with real-world examples. This essential training is available to students, the general public, and older adults.
